The project will commence in October 2008 with Elbasan and Fier plants and both will be fully operational by June 2009. The remaining three plants will be commence installation in June 2009 and will be in operation by February 2010. The contract is to supply electricity for a period of 10 years from the date the solar power plant becomes operational. The Al-Samawa Group is already in negotiation with KESH (electricity regulators of Republic of Albania) to sign similar projects for other towns and cities in the Republic of Albania. Future Plans The Al-Samawa Group’s objective for the next phase of development is to win similar projects in Jordon, Montenegro and Africa.
